Survey Sites

I have Found that after mTurk the best way to make money is to do Surveys.  i have found a number of Survey Sites that pay decently (normally around a Dollar a survey) for the time you put in and you can occasionally get high paying surveys worth $10 or more, you might occasionally even be invited to do focus groups those can pay hundreds of Dollars. none of the survey sites give more then a few a week so i recommend that you sign up for all of them so you have a regular supply of them to do.

here are a few of the best I've found so far.

• PaidViewpoint - one of my favorite survey sites.  signup is painless and they give you a dollar just for signing up, you also get 10cents for every personality survey they give you to qualify you for the real surveys.  they have a user rating system based on the number and quality of surveys you do for them called your Trait Score the higher it is the more surveys you get and the higher the pay you get for each survey (you start out getting between $1.00 and $1.50) and they email you anytime you qualify for a survey.  you better take them quick though because if you don't get to them withing an hour or so their value drops down to about 10% of the original offer.


• PollBuzzer - you get a Dollar per survey and you receive an email anytime there is a survey ready for you. depending on your demographics you might only only get a few a month or several per week.


• SurvetSavvy - like PaidViewpoint you receive a variable amount based on the surveys you complete and you will receive notice of when you have a survey available to you in your email.

Passive Earners

The best way to make money online is always to not do anything at all. These methods require little or no daily interaction they just accumulate over time.

• topline - My Favorite Earner.  its an add-on for most major browsers for both Mac and Windows (Mac's Safari is still in the works) that replaces  a webpage's Ads with ones from its own network and paying you to do it! the replacement Ads are unobtrusive enough that they don't bother you at all, no auto playing sound or video and they don't use adult Ads. You get a point for every page it replaces the Ads on. 1000 points is $0.75, i have it installed on both my work and personal computers and i get several hundred points a day.  you will however have to turn off ad blocker if you use it.





• I-Gagnant la barre - another direct advertising site this one installs as a program on your computer and  that displays Ads to you and is always onto though you can stick it in a corner and it doesn't really bother me that much.  you can get paid out at 15 euros to your Paypal account.  it also pays you to click a few Ads a day on the site and play games though i haven't explored that part of the site much as of yet.  the Ad bar responds to mouse actions so if your mouse isnt moving or being clicked after a short time it stops awarding you points. leaving it running a few hours a day well I'am at home I've accumulated 0.10 euro in the last week.





• Vagex - for this service you install a program that will play YouTube videos in that background (you can mute it in settings) to increase the videos views you get points based on play time and 22828 points is a Dollar, the minimum is $10.00 you can double the points that you get by using both the Program and the Firefox plugin. using both at night i have accumulated just under 9000 points in the last week.

I am testing several other passive earners that and will be posting about them shortly once i am farmiliar with them.

Monetizing Links

Monetized links - we have all used link shorten-er at some point like Google's goo.gl or bit.ly.  There are also services that do the exact same thing but pay you for each click the link receives.  They do this by bringing the clicker to a landing page and displaying an ad to the for about five seconds before allowing them to continue to the site you linked to, example: link back to this post. the payout rates vary between the various services they average around $5.00 per 1,000 clicks or half a cent per click.  these services are a great way to make some extra money quickly because you just need to share interesting things you find on the internet with people.

If you have content you know people will really want then you can use locked links that require the clicker to complete a survey to get to the site. these pay over a dollar per completion. Linkbucks offers this option for links and i will cover it more in later posts.

if your an active member of any forum on online community instead just cutting and pasting a link you would normally share put it through one of these services and make some money for sharing (some forums do not allow monetized links so check their policy first) same goes for your Facebook and twitter.  as for what to link and how best to present them i will discuss that in later posts.

• Adf.ly - This is my preferred service as it is used extensively on Reddits /r/HWTF and they seem to be the most reliable if not the highest paying. adf.ly also allows you to select between a landing page or a banner, banners pay less but allow the page to load right away.  Example Landing Page, Banner.

Get paid to share your links!



• Adfoc.us - Another reliable service, however they are more stricked in how the service can be used so be sure to read the TOS. example.


• their average payout rate is $6.50 per 1,000 Clicks assuming most of your traffic is from the US the pay from other countries vary.
• Their payout minimum is $10.00 and they pay out once a month to either your PayPal or AlertPay account,  you can either set your account to automatically pay out or you can manually request a pay out.

• Linkbucks - Linkbucks allows you to use multiple options on how to use their links. they offer top and side banners, landing pages and locked links. they also allow you to link to adult content.  
• Top Banners are just that, it adds a banner at the top of the page, example.  
• Side banner is similar except on the side of the page, example.  
• Landing page stops you on a landing page for serveral seconds before continueing to the linked site, example.  
• Locked links require you to complete a survey before continuing to the linked site, if a survey is not available for the clicker then it will revert to a landing page link, example.
• the average payout rate for landing page links is $3.00 per 1,000 clicks, between $0.80 and $0.90 per 1,000 clicks for banner links and $180.00 per 1,000 clicks for locked links.
• minimum payout is $5.00 and they pay to PayPal and Payza.

Best Place to Start

The best place to start making money online is Amazon's Mechanical Turk also know as mTurk.  mTurk is a crowd source workforce allowing users like us to get paid to complete tasks called HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks), so called because while simple for us they're not easy for a computer to complete.  These HITs pay anywhere from 1 cent to several dollars and range in time from 5 seconds to an hour.  I've made over $50 in nine days doing HITs between 15 minutes and an hour, mostly by doing surveys for college psychology departments.

My total earned equals Approved HITs plus Pending HITs

Submitted are the ones I've completed, Approved are the ones that the requester and I will be paid for, Rejected are the ones that were not completed properly and I will not be paid for, and Pending are the ones that have yet to be approved or rejected.

Accepted and rejected HITs make up the Approved percentage that is used in some HITs as a qualification, as does total completed HITs.

About me.
I started getting serious about making money online a few months ago just to boost my income a bit and allow me to put some money each week into my saving account.  Since then my working situation has become a bit more precarious and my income has been cut significantly.  but as i had been working on building up my income online it was able to take up the slack with along with some cuts to my monthly expenses.
